Rev. Jackie N. Burke Jr., 66, of Holly Springs, died March 16, 2009 at Delta Medical Center in Memphis, Tenn. He was a retired factory worker with Sunbeam and Mulay.
Services were held at 11 a.m. on March 21 at True Vine MB Church in Holly Springs. Burial was in Hebron Chapel CME Church Cemetery. Elder Bobby G. Wilson officiated. J.F. Brittenum and Son Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
He leaves a daughter, Jacqueline Burke King of Holly Springs; four sons, Robert D. Burke, Reginald N. Burke, Kevin A. Burke, all of Holly Springs, Ronnie F. Burke of Pensacola, Fla; two sisters, Mary Ann Thomas of Memphis, Tenn., Bennett Frazier of Chicago, Ill.; 11 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Pallbearers were Gregory Evans, John Jefferson, Mark Leasure, Kelvin McGowan, Clevin Hannah, Conerly King, Mark Martin and Darwin Williams. Honorary pallbearers were Jonathan Burke, Jermille Burke, Brandon Burke, Korbin Smith and Christopher Burke
