Birth: Mar. 19, 1916
Death: Nov. 28, 1998

Calvin Fletcher Harper served in the United States Navy and during World War II. He married Marian Clark in 1937 and resided in Fort Thomas Kentucky most of their lives. He owned and operated his own business, Envelope Conversion Equipment Company. Grandpa and Meme had four children and 12 grandchildren. He spent the last decade of his life in West Palm Beach, Florida and Covington Kentucky.

I remember when I was little, Grandpa used to make us pancakes shaped like Mickey Mouse heads and we thought they were the greatest! He would play Christmas Carols on the organ for all the family and would drag out the movie projector so we could watch old home movies on a whim.

Grandpa suffered a couple of strokes and a heart attack in the late 80s which affected his speech, but he never lost his humor. Though paralyzed on one side of his body, he would always have a smile on his face and would sing to us all the time. He loved music and would "chair dance" in his wheelchair, while snapping his fingers on his 'good' hand.

He remained sharp as a tack until his death in 1998. He was 82 years old. We miss him. Love you Grandpa!!

Just a little note to say "HI" grandpa. You are missed so very much. You were a wonderful grandfather. You left us suddenly the day I brought home your great grandson. I have had three more beautiful children since then. Wish you were here.
