Birth: Jun. 3, 1789
Death: Sep. 6, 1825

French dancer. Fanny was born in Paris and trained at the Paris Opera Ballet School, joining the company in 1807 and eventually became a first-soloist. After dancing in London at the King's Theatre the manager, John Ebers, described her dancing as being 'beautiful little half steps, which, more than any other, corresond to the epithet twinkling'. Today she is remembered for being one of the first dancers to be shown on pointe, a moment captured in a picture by Waldeck in 1821. She was forced to retire due to ill health, and passed away at the age of just 36.
Cremated, Location of ashes is unknown.
