Barbara (Warner) Butler 47 of Nampa, formerly of Garden Valley, died Monday May 1, 2006 at a Nampa hospital.
She was born on August 8, 1958 at Redding, Calif. to James and Joy Wetmore Warner. She moved to Garden Valley with her family at the age of 2. She attended schools in Garden Valley and graduated from Garden Valley High School in 1976. She attended and graduated from the University of Idaho in 1980, with degrees in special and elementary education. She returned to Garden Valley and taught school for several years before moving to Susanville, Calif., where she continued teaching. Later she returned to Idaho and moved to Nampa. She taught school in Nampa since then. She married Bert Butler on June 22, 2002 at Boise. They made their home in Nampa. Barbara enjoyed painting, crafts, raising roses and loved her Lilacs. She was a member of the New Hope Baptist Church in Nampa, which was formerly the Berean Baptist Church. Barbara is survived by her husband Bert of Nampa, her parents James and Joy Warner of Garden Valley, Idaho, two sisters and brother-in-laws Kathy and Bob Durham of Dufur, Ore. and Debbie and Mike Marbach of Pomeroy, Wash.., nieces and nephews Brian and Sarah Durham and Mikalah Marbach. She was preceded in death by her grandparents. Memorials may be made to the New Hope Baptist Church landscape fund for the new church building.
