Ada Emma Bissell
LONG BOTTOM- Services for Ada Emma Bissell, 81, of 52309 Route 248, Long Bottom, will be Sunday at 2p.m. at White-Blower Funeral Home in Coolville, with the Rev. Charles Eaton officiating. Burial will be In Sand Hill Cemetery In Long Bottom.
Friends may call at the Funeral home Saturday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Meigs County Humane Society, Pomoroy, Ohio 45769.
Mrs. Bissell died Thursday, March 21, 1996, at Hoizer Medical Center in Gallipolis, after a brief illness.
Born Dec. 9, 1908 in Long Bottom, she was the daughter of the late Alfred Fred and Laura Kathryn Boner Swan.
Mrs. Bissell was a homemaker and a member of Long Bottom United Methodist Church, Racine Order of Eastern Star, Chester Council of the Daughters of America, Pythian Sisters Lodge in Pomeroy, and Long Bottom Senior Citizen Club. She bad served 20 years as Olive Twp. clerk, and was a member of the Public Employees Retirement System. She is survived by three daughters and sons-in-laws, Orva Jean and John Bond of Spicewood, Tezas, Marilyn and Mark Miller of Westerville, and Janet Kay and Tom Groeneveld of Worthington; a son and daughter-In-law, L Michael and Patricia Bissell of Pomeroy
l grandchildren 20 great grandchildren; two sister, Mae McPeek of Long Bottom and Leota Farrell of Medway, and several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph E Bissell; two sons, Joseph A. and Kenneth Bissell a daughter, Violet Smith, a grandson, Michael Patrick Bissell, a brother, Sherley Swan; and a sister, Leona Hensley.
