They had a daughter, Mary, born November 25, 1847, and three sons, Johnny, Louis, and George, all of whom died young, probably in New Albany. Louis and his sons Louis and George were all reinterred in Cave Hill Cemetery, Louisville, Jefferson County, Kentucky, on February 6, 1874, in a plot purchased by his daughter Mary's husband, John Fisher. His widow, Katherina, married Herman Ries in Louisville and moved to Dallas, Texas, with her daughter's family on March 1, 1877.
