WW II US Navy Veteran. He enlisted in the Navy November 1, 1943 and received his preliminary training at Farragut Idaho. On March 7, 1944 he sailed from San Francisco to the South Pacific, serving as a Seaman Second Class assigned to a ship repair unit. He was killed in action by enemy anti-aircraft fire near Los Negros Island, Admiralty group.
