BIO:
Rev. Riley E. Anderson, bn in Mass. found his education in the common schools. In 1848, he was ordained in the Wesleyan Methodists and afterward joined the Free Baptists movement. He pastored in Pennsylvania, as well as in Ohio, at Conneaut and Chester.
In his fifty years of service he baptized over 2000 people. When he was with Wesleyan Methodists he had served as the Pres. of the Conference and afterwards, as a Freewill Baptist was a delegate to the General Conference. He was also a delegate to the National Free-Soil Convention in 1852. In the contest against intemperance and slavery he has been a persistent worker.

He was married to Deliah (unk) Anderson, and they had Lonora Anderson Ames; Victoria, b ca 1853; and Eva, b ca 1854-08. These were on 1880, and on 1870 cenuses. Probably, there were other children.
