Florence was born in Bon Air, AL. She was descendant of the Nicy Pearson and Uriah Cooper line. She was daughter of Jasper Newton Cooper and Elizabeth Ann Paschal.
She had two siblings she loved very much: Thomas Powell Cooper & Josephine Loorena "Josie" Cooper. She also had half sisters & brothers: Ernest, Bessie, Lula & Lena Cooper.

She married Clifford Rosco Bramlett who died less than a year after marriage leaving Flo to raise their daughter. Flo went to nursing school and stenography school to keep jobs to support her daughter. After Flo's daughter married, Florence and Josie moved to Hollywood where they enjoyed going out dancing. They resided together until their deaths. Florence was ahead of her time as a business woman. She was very pretty and had a lot of male admirers but never remarried. She loved flowers and nice clothes. She taught her granddaughters how to type and operate the steno machine. She also took her 3 grandchildren to the circus and Hollywood Parade at Christmas. She is sorely missed.
