James Bauknecht
James F. "Jim" Bauknecht, 70, 103 Penn Ave. North, St. Albans, W.Va., formerly of Martins Ferry, died March 16 in Morris Memorial Nursing Home. He was born May 3, 1920.

He was a retired civil engineer for American Electric Power Company Construction Dept. He was a member of the Faith Missionary Baptist Church, a veteran of World War II.

Surviving are his wife, Hope Nida Bauknecht; one daughter, Holly Oakey of Moneta, Virginia; one stepson, Okey Nida of St. Albans, W. Va.; one sister, Nina Mae Bauknecht of St. Clairsville; three brothers, Kenneth of Brilliant, Raymond of Dillonvale, and Ernest of Portage, Ind.; one grandson and two stepgrandchildren.

Friends will be received today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., at the Casdorph & Curry Funeral Chapel, St. Albans, where services will be held Monday at 2 p.m. with the Rev. John Hoskins officiating. Burial in Cunningham Memorial Park in St. Albans.
