Robert E. McKenzie, 73 of Erie, Died Sunday, November 3, 2002, at his residence.
He was born September 23, 1929, son of the late Arthur E. and Helen Robinson McKenzie. He was switchman for GTE for 43 years until his retirement in 1991.
He was a veteran of the US Army. He was a member of the Blessed Scarament Church, a life member of the Siebenbuerger Club, and was a member of American Legion Post 742 in Fairview.
He also enjoyed hunting, bowling, golfing and spending time with his wife of 51 years, Sandra L. Weaver McKenzie;three sons, Michael McKenzie and his wife, Cathy, Tom McKenzie and his wife, Cathy, Tom McKenzie and his wife, Christine, and Gerald McKenzie, all of Erie;a daughter, Colleen Papaccioli and her husband, Louis, of Oakland, NJ.;sis grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Friends may call Tuesday from 2 to 5 P.M and 7 to 9 Om. at the Brugger Home for Funerals, West 38th St. at Greengarden Blvd. Services will be held there Wed. at 9 P.M., Followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 A.m. at Blessed Sacrament Church, 1626 W. 26th St. Burial will follow.
