Rites Friday

Funeral service for Delbert E. Andrews, 67, of 3622 Hunter, will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Friday at the Reed and Jewell Funeral Home by the Rev. Jack Miller. Burial will be at the Ross cemetery in Ross, Ohio. Persons may call at the funeral home from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday and a Masonic memorial service will be there at 7 p.m. Thursday.

Andrews died unexpectedly Thursday in Brussels, Belgium, where he and his wife were on an American Express tour.

He was born Sept. 11, 1910, in Troy, Ohio, the son of the late Isaac and Frances Krieder Andrews who survives and lives in Cincinnati, Ohio. He married Faye Siegle Sept. 25, 1938, and she survives. Andrews lived his early life in Dayton, Ohio, moving to Columbus in 1962. He had been an engineer for Reliance Electric Company, retiring there in 1975 after 39 years.

He was a member of the Asbury Methodist church, the Scottish Rite, the Miami Valley Masonic Lodge of Dayton, Ohio. The son of a Methodist minister he was also a graduate of Ohio Northern University.

Surviving besides the wife and mother are one son, Robert E. Andrew of Liberty route 2 and two grandchildren, Robert and Rebecca Andrews.
