Roy Abrams Jr, 72, of 3851 N River Road, West Lafayette, formerly of Logansport, died at 3:38 am Tuesday, June 22, 2004, in the Indiana Veterans' Home, where he had been a patient since September 2002. Born in Lafayette, he lived in Logansport for many years. Mr Abrams worked as a press operator for General Tire in Logansport for 20 years, retiring in 1989. He was a life member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post in Logansport, a ham and CB radio operator and enjoyed fishing. Surviving is a son, Joe Abrams of West Lafayette, two daughters, Joni Abrams and Lisa Abrams, both of West Lafayette, a stepdaughter, Susan Boyle of Lafayette, a stepson, William Boyle of Lafayette, a sister, Sara Jane Eisenhut, husband, Earl of Lafayette, and a brother, Richard Conger wife Donna of Lafayette. Friends may call from 9:30 am Thursday until services at 10:30 am at the Indiana Veterans Home Chapel, Chaplain Guy Studebaker officiating. Interment in the Veteran Home Cemetery, with military graveside rites. Survivor include 2 grandchildren and 2 step grandchildren. Arrangements entrusted to the Fisher Loy funeral Chapel, 914 Columbia street, Lafayette.
