James Barham, Jr., 67, of Kingsport, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, January 15, 2009. Born in Greene County, he lived most of his life in Kingsport.

He retired from Tennessee Eastman after 29 years, working in the former Kodel Division. He was the owner of Rainbow Motors for 13 years. He was a wonderful father, pops, and grandfather, and had a passion for golf.

He was preceded in death by his parents, James Taylor Barham and Edith Faye Easley Barham.

Survivors include a son, James Taylor Barham, III, and wife Jennifer, of Sevierville, TN; daughter Sherry Barham, and fiancé Terry McClellan; daughter Tracy Huffman and husband Brian; and son Kevin Barham, and wife Jenny, all of Kingsport; grandchildren Heather, Chase, Sarah, and Annie Barham; LaTrisha Wallen, Michael Johnson, Nacole and Brittany Lane; Haley, Hayden, and Sydney Huffman; great-grandchildren Heath Hayes, Americus and Caydian Karlstrom, Stephen Johnson, and Parker Wallen; sister Brenda Barnes, Knoxville; and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 until 4:00 on Saturday at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, downtown Kingsport. Services will be conducted at 4:00 p.m. at the funeral home with Marlin Janes, minister, officiating. Burial will be at 2:00 p.m. Sunday at Morning Star Cemetery.

baServing as pallbearers will be Gary Spears, Casey Lewis, Logan Lewis, Chris Barnes, Johnny Barnes, and Terry McClellan. Honorary pallbearers will be Pat McCain, Randall Gibson, Greg Woods and Ron Lewis.
