Six year old Bernadette Pouliot fell ill on December 23, 2006. The following morning, Christmas Eve, her condition worsened, and she was rushed to the hospital. Bernadette was diagnosed with Leukemia that day and passed away suddenly on Christmas Day. The family was still coming to terms with the news that Bernadette's mother Rosalind (Roz), home-schooling mother of seven, had been diagnosed with Stage 3 Breast Cancer just before Thanksgiving

little Bernadette had received the best Christmas gift her parents could give her. She was now with Jesus, Her Savior, who came into this world over 2000 years ago the same day that Bernadette left this world. She will spend her eternal life now with Him whom she loved so much in her 6 short years here on earth.
