Charles Epperson Moberly was greeted into this world by his parents, Charles Nealy and Susannah Epperson Moberly October 1839. Charles migrated with his parents to Iowa in the late 1840's. By 1850 the Moberly's are living in Benton Co., Charles is 11 years old and attending school. September 11, 1859 Charles Moberly and Nancy Wood married and to this union 9 children were born, with only 7 surviving. Julias Austin, Charles E. [Ed], Elvin Lawrence [twin] and Bertha Moberly Wick [twin], John Newton, Louis A., and Augustus. The Moberly's moved on to Mahaska Co., seeking land, and in the early 1890's they are found in Lester, Lyon Co., Iowa. Charles died at home near Lester, Iowa.
