WORCESTER - Fay Anna Lovesky, 90, of 39K First St., a retired city clerk and longtime clothing buyer, died yesterday in the Jewish Health Care Center after a short illness.
She leaves a sister, Johanna H. "Jay" Dirsa of Worcester; and many nephews and nieces. She was born in Waterbury, Conn., daughter of Simon and Annie (Rogers) Lovesky, and lived here 55 years.
Miss Lovesky was a clerk in the city treasurer's office for 10 years, retiring in 1974. She was previously an assistant buyer of women's dresses at Denholm & McKay Co., a local department store.
She was a former member of St. Casimir's Church and the 39rs at Coes Pond Village.
The funeral will be held tomorrow from Mercadante Funeral Home, 370 Plantation St., with a Mass at 10 a.m. in St. Casimir's Church, 41 Providence St. Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery. Calling hours are 7 to 9 tonight at the funeral home.
