Mr. Grisham died October 2, 2013 at Tennessee State Veterans Home in Humboldt, TN.
He was born in Henderson County, TN, son of the late Walter Lonzo Grisham, Sr. and Genella Ruth Edmonds Grisham, and was educated in the local schools. Mr. Grisham was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving during WWII in Germany and European Theatre with Company B of the 3160th Signal Service Battalion. He was retired from Goldsmith's Department Store in Memphis. Mr. Grisham was a member of West Jackson Baptist Church and the Curtis Scott Sunday School Class.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his 1st wife, Mrs. Marion Bridges Grisham; a son, Walter Lonzo Grisham III and a sister, Dorothy Jean Twyman.
He leaves his wife, two daughters, Vicki S. Grisham and Mona Grisham Lea, both of Memphis; two sons, three sisters, one brother, seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Visitation with the family will be from 11 a.m. until service time of 1 p.m. Saturday, at the funeral home.
