Born on April 26, 1940 to James Clinton Foster & Mary Elizabeth Wells Foster. Jack was married for 30 years to Doris D. Foster & had 1 Son, Jacky R. Foster, Jr. Jack also leaves behind 1 Sister, Peggy Cockrell of Kenly, NC and 2 Brothers, J.C. Foster and Glenn Foster also from Kenly, NC. Also left behind to cherish his memory are his Step-Daughter, Becky Phelps and Husband Frank of Rocky Mount and 2 Step-Sons, Greg Whitehurst and Wife Sheryl of Fuquay Varina, and Gordon J. Whitehurst of Rocky Mount. 7 Grandchildren, 9 Great Grandchildren and 27 Nieces & Nephews. Jack served in the United States Army and ended his service with an honorable discharge. He worked with Williamson Trucking in Wilson NC as a long distance driver for many years until glaucoma robbed him of his eyesight. Since then he became actively involved with the blind foundation, serving the community and working as an independent vendor within the US Postal Service.
