Mr. John William Walter, age 85, of Emmitsburg, died at the Annie M. Warner Hospital in Gettysburg, PA. He was a lifelong resident of Frederick County and a member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church, Emmitsburg, and served in the US Army in France during World War I. He was a form-stone contractor and ornamental plasterer working in Washington D.C., New York, Florida and Emmittsburg.
Services were held in St. Joseph's Catholic Church with the Rev. Harry T. Kuhn, pastor, officiating.
