Birth: Aug. 5, 1911
Death: Jul. 12, 1944

US Army World War II Veteran. Born in Kansas, he enlisted on February 9, 1942. Served as a Private with the 313th Infantry Regiment, 79th Infantry Division and was killed in action in France. He was awarded the Purple Heart posthumously. His Brother Private First Class Leslie C. Banaka, US Army was killed in action on February 21, 1945 in Luxembourg.
