Charlie was a veteran of WWll, U.S. Army PFC. He enlisted 5-1-1942 in Evansville,In. He departed 8-6-1942, destination EAMETO. He returned to the USA on 9-1-1944. He was a PFC. He recieved the good conduct medal and the EAMETO medal. He was a supply clerk. He was discharged on 9-14-1945 from Shelby,Miss.

CHARLES H. BLOODWORTH DIES AT 54
Grand Rivers,Ky., Sept. 15---Charles H. Bloodworth, 54, veteran of World War ll, died at 5:15 pm Wednesday in Veterans Hospital at Marion,Il.
A resident of Grand Rivers, he is survived by his widow, Mrs. Mary Bloodworth; his father Henry Bloodworth of Grand Rivers; six sisters, Mrs. Onie Morris of Smithland, Mrs. Gordie Jones of Grand Rivers, Mrs. Esther Stringer of Ledbetter, Mrs. Etta Mae Lucus of Kevil, Mrs. Emma Lou Wright of Chicago,Il., and Mrs. Otie Page of Uniontown, and five brothers, Gilbert Bloodworth of Grand Rivers, Tom and Edd Bloodworth of Smithland, Hubb Bloodworth of Covington,Tn and James Bloodworth of Calvert City.
Funeral services will be held at 2 pm Sunday at Mt.Carmel Methodist Church of Iuka with the Rev. James Dill and the Rev. Lee Ward officiating.
American Legion Post No. 114 of Gilbertsville, of which he was a member, will conduct military graveside rites in the church cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Odle Jones, Charles Johnson, Markie Mitchell, Bert Kennedy, Arnel Driskill and Ralph Smith.
Friends may call at Smith Funeral Home.
