Margaret was born in Alabama. On 19 Oct 1836, she married William M. Bradshaw. She was the mother of 11 children: Samuel Kendrick, Rebecca Jane, Lucretia, Louisa, Elizabeth Carolyn, William Henry, Mary Menninta, James Robert, George A., Warren Edward, and Irene. Sometime after William died in 1861, Margaret became the third wife of George Ross. On 23 Nov 1871 in Bastrop County, Texas, she married for the third time to George Awalt.
