Samuel Dana Darling: b. Feb 7, 1807; m. Apr. 20, 1840 Lydia Marshall; d. May 5, 1873
He was a graduate of Williams College, 1836; studied theology Gilmanton, N.H., and now pastor of Congregation churches in Cummington and South Royalton, Mass., Oakfield and Brookfield, Wis. He was a man of vigorous health and during his early life performed some remarkable feats of strength. He died suddenly, while at a public assembly, in Fond du Lac, Wis. CHILDREN: (a) Adeline Eunice Darling (b) Edward Beecher Darling b. Feb. 23, 1843. He enlisted in the 1st WIs reg. and was killed in the battle of Chickamanga Sept. 20, 1863. (c) Ellen Darling b. Nov. 13, 1844; graduate of the Ohio Female College; m. Edgar Wilcox and resides in Oakfield, Wis. (d) Samuel Marshall Darling (e) George Emery Darling
