Lucy Fern Campbell, 79, 908 Oak, Lamar, died at 8:15 a.m. Friday at the Barton County Memorial Hospital, where she had been a patient a week.
She was born Dec. 14, 901 in Jasper to William and Elizabeth (Follmer) Strecker. She married Phillip E. Campbell Oct. 17, 1917 at Oswego, Kan. He died on April 28, 1978. She was a member of the Lamar First Baptist Church and the Newport Needleworkers Club.
Surviving are 4 sons, a daughter, a sister,15 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. (Survivors names omitted).
Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at the Lohmeyer-Konantz Chapel. Burial will be in Paradise Cemetery south of Jasper. The family will receive friends at the Chapel from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Sunday. Contributions may be made in lieu of flowers to the First Baptist Church building fund or the American Cancer Society.
