Coal was a young German Shepherd that lived at the dairy farm where I occasionally work.
He was a goofy boy who loved chasing around a big pig. He would nip at its feet & the pig would squeal, but I think they were good friends.
Coal would always run up & greet me when I arrived, so it was odd when one day Coal suddenly stopped coming down to the barn. I thought maybe he was busy helping his "dad" somewhere else on the farm, but months went by & he still didn't show up. I later found out he had been hit by a car.
He passed away in late 2011.

I think the Coal is enjoying life at the Rainbow Bridge. He is very lucky to have such a good friend in Heather whose name I ran across while searching for graves in California. Enjoy being young and fully healthy, again, Coal! I love your pictures.|
