Edward Elton Bowman was born in 1882 to William and Isabella Bowman. They were immigrants from England. Edward was a driller working in the oil fields of Oklahoma and Colorado. He was also city Marshall of Strong City, Kansas. Married Laura Alice Blankenbeker Dec. 26, 1905. They had one daughter, Annabelle, and three sons, Edward Elton Jr, Milan Milton, and George Eldon. He enjoyed photography and took many pictures of daily life in the oil industry.
