Civil War Union Army Officer. He was commissioned as a Captain in the 38th New Jersey Volunteer Infantry on September 26, 1864, and was mustered in as commander of Company E on October 1, 1864. He served through the conclusion of the war, and was honorably mustered out on June 30, 1865.
