Civil War Union Army Officer. He was commissioned as a 2nd Lieutenant in Company F, 4th New Jersey Volunteer Infantry on August 17, 1861. He served until he resigned on September 26, 1862.
He served under his father, Napoleon B. Aaronson, who was Captain and commander of Company F.
On the 29th of July 1861, he married Mary Jane Gesemeyer.
