Civil War Union Solier. He was enrolled in the 6th New Jersey Volunteer Infantry on August 9, 1861, and was mustered in as a Corporal in Company H on August 26, 1861. He served until he was discharged due to disability at the Convalescent Camp in Alexandria, Virginia on June 1, 1863.
