SFC (ret) U.S. Army. Retired from the Army with over 20years service. Veteran of WWII and Korea.
As you can see from the photo, John served in the South Pacific (and also in Europe during WWII). After the war, he was stationed in Germany and Belgium for several more years (as were two of his brothers). After retiring from the Army, He worked for the U. S. Postal service. He also was a fantastic barber, and whenever Uncle Johnny & Aunt Denise came to visit, my brothers, and later, our children, would line up to receive a haircut.
He grew up in Wilmington, Delaware, the son of the late Frank M De Prisco and Elsie May (Heisler) De Prisco. Brother of Charles N. De Prisco, Alfred D. De Prisco, Margaret (DePrisco) Evans, Frank M. De Prisco, Catherine, and Leonard P De Prisco.
He met his beautiful wife while stationed in Belgium during WWII.
He was survived by her (Denise), and their son John. Also two grandsons and their children.
I loved to spend time with Uncle Johnny and Aunt Denise...they were the sweetest couple..absolutely devoted to each other. They were also so much fun to be around. Uncle Johnny had such a wonderful, devilish sense of humor.
We all miss him so much, and think about him often...
