The daughter of Edmund and Julia Maguire, she married James Oliver West. They had two sons William (Billy) Francis born Oct. 21, 1916 and James Earl born Sept. 23, 1918. She died following the removal of her tonsils. As her sister always said, "that was a terrible price to pay to have your tonsils removed."
