Mildred Esther Ball, 94, of Sedalia, died Wednesday, July 14, 2010, at Bothwell Regional Health Center. She was born on August 10, 1915, in Rural Pettis County, a daughter of Emil W. and Edith Faye Abney Hoard.
She was a member of the New Bethel United Methodist Church. She worked at Town and Country Shoes. Mildred was a member of Optimist International, United Methodist Women and Flat Creek Extension Club. She was a fabulous seamstress and made of the family clothing, including their high school prom dresses and wedding dresses. She lived in Sedalia most of her life.
She is survived by: one daughter, Patricia J. McFatrich, of Sedalia; one son, William "Bill" Ball of Sedalia; one sister, Jean Williams of College Station, Texas; two grandsons, James McFatrich and his wife Kelly, and Nathan Ball; two granddaughters, Charlie Neth and her husband Tony, and Tonya Johnson, all of Sedalia; three great grandsons; three great granddaughters; two great great grandsons; one great great granddaughter; several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased in death by her parents; two brothers, Emil "Bud" Hoard and Loren Hoard.
Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, July 25, 2010, at New Bethel United Methodist Church, Sedalia, with Pastor Mary Biesmeyer officiating.
A guest register book will be available for friends and family to sign at Rea Funeral Chapel and Cremation Services in Sedalia. There will be no family visitation.
The family suggests memorial contributions be given to the Church in care of the funeral chapel.
