Mrs. Acer was a daughter of of the late Hugh & harriet Studeman Hart. She married Chester W. Acer in Oct. 1949 and the couple lived in Medina. She worked at Frary Show Store and Park Theater selling tickets. She also worked at Kutner's and for 22 years for Kathleen Lewis Curry at Curry's Ladies Retail Shoppe as a sales lady, window decorator and assistant buyer. She also sold US Saving Bonds and was active in Red Cross and Civil Defense during WW II. She enjoyed riding horses and was a member of the Orleans County Boot and Saddle Club, St. John's Episcopal Church, Medina Chapter of the Order of Eastern Star, where she was matron in 1964, The Medina Chamber of Commerce and the ARC of Orleans. She also worked at the office of Mental Retarded and Disabilities Developmental Center in West Seneca in the senior companion program for 17 years. Survivors include a niece, Harriet J. Hurley; a nephew John F. Hart. Her husband died May 4, 1981. She was a sister of the late Hugh Hart and Gertrude Ott.
