GEORGIA MAY ARNTZ. 6, SUSTAINS SERIOUS INTERNAL INJURIES.
Georgia May Arntz, six year old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Perry Arntz, residing south of this city, is un United Memerial hospital today with serious internal injuries as the result of being hit by an auto on the M-66 pavement 1 1-2 miles south of the city at 6 p.m. Monday. She was crossing the pavements when the car, which was coming from the south hit her. The car which containted two woman went into the ditch but was apparently unable to avoid the accident. She was taken to her home after the accident but was brought to United Memorial hospital this noon. The women stopped after the accident, but the father of the child was too excited immediately after the accident to get their names. Sheriff F. M. Waldo is investigating the affair this afternoon.
GIRL ACCIDENT VICTIM IS DEAD
Virginia May Arntz Succumbs To Injuries; Still Seek Driver Of Car.
Local and county authorities were seeking with renewed activity identity of the two woman autoists whose car ran down and killed six year old Georgia May Arntz on M-66 south of this city, Mondau evening, following the death of the little girl at United Memorial Hospital late Tuesday afternoon. Georiga May succumbed to internal injuries suffered when the auto hit her as she was crossing the pavement. The death car went into the ditch and after passing motorists had shoved it onto the pavement, it was driven away without the name of the driver or its license number being secured. Funeral services for the accident victim will be held at the Brown Funeral Home, Friday, at 2:30 p.m. Dr. Lilly of Stanton, County coroner, was here Tuesday to investigate the tragedy and pronounced it accidental_death. No inquest will be held.
