| Birth: | Mar. 30, 1943 | | Death: | Apr. 17, 2012 |  Born in Wewoka, Oklahoma, Eddie was 3 years old when his family moved to Alabama and settled in the Leighton area of Colbert County. In 1961, he graduated from Colbert County High School and was the president of his class. Eddie served a machinist apprenticeship in the early 1960's and was employed locally at Reynolds Metals until the plant's closure in 1983. He later worked as a construction millwright through the Carpenters Local Union 109. After retirement, he enjoyed gardening, tending his cows and providing the fruits of his labor to his family. He was also a stained glass artisan and general handyman who could be counted on to help solve technical problems of all kinds, assist the kids and grandkids when there was a need, and provide a humorous commentary on just about any subject. Eddie was a caring father, grandfather and friend to many.
