Obituary for Sam Arrington

A Funeral Mass for Sam Arrington, 77, will be 10 a.m. Monday, August 3, 2009 at Christ the King Catholic Church. Officiating will be Father Charles Glorioso. Interment will be at Hill Crest Memorial Cemetery in Haughton, LA with USAF Honors. Visitation will be Sunday, August 2, 2009 from 4-6 p.m., with a vigil service at 6 p.m., at Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Bossier City.

Sam Arrington was born December 5, 1931 in Madill, OK to Homer S. Arrington and Gladys Marlar Arrington and passed away July 31, 2009 in Bossier City, LA. He served his country honorably for 20 years in the USAF as a Security Policeman, with a tour in Viet Nam. Additionally he served 21 years of Civil Service at Barksdale AFB, LA. Sam was an avid sportsman who loved LSU Tiger football, Atlanta Braves and Dallas Cowboys and playing golf with family and friends.

He will be deeply missed by his wife of 54 years, Mary Jo Ladatto Arrington and his children and their families, son, Dave Arrington, wife Cathy and their children, Christopher and S. David Arrington, III, wife Debbie and their son, "Sammie" Sam, IV, daughter, Kathryn Arrington Young and husband Dennis and their sons, Jason and Adam and son, John Michael Arrington, wife Carrie and their daughters, Kayla and Karsyn.
