Ebenezer Cary was baptized on 7 July 1765 in First Church, East Bridgewater, Plymouth County, Massachusetts.
Ebenezer Cary was the son of Ichabod Cary and Hannah Gannett.
Ebenezer Cary married Martha Brock, daughter of William Brock of Somersworth, N.H. and Elizabeth Bunker, on 27 August 1796 in Turner, Androscoggin County, Maine.
After his marriage to Martha Brock, he lived a while in Buckfield, and then came to Paris, Me., then called No. 4, with his brother Daniel in 1785. Here he settled on the northern slope of Crocker Hill, which became known as the 'Cary Opening.' Their log house that stood here was the most elevated habitation in town. Later in life, he moved to Greenville, Me. and recommenced pioneer life.
Ebenezer Cary married Mrs. Hannah Davis of Salem, Mass. in 1834 in Minot, Androscoggin County, Maine, "after a tedious courtship of one hour" according to The Democrat.3
Ebenezer Cary died in 1837 or 1838.
