Dotha "Caroline" McDonald married Howard Dunbar Baldwin Feb 21, 1827 in Waterford, Litchfield Co., Hartford, CT. Per "Baldwin Genealogy" (by Charles Candee Baldwin, M.A.,) Caroline was of Scotch descent and was the daughter of James McDonald and Lucy A. McDonald. In April 1877 they lived in Fond du Lac, WI. (Per Baldwin Genealogy)
Per "Baldwin Genealogy" Howard & Caroline's children listed on Page 184 in the section "Richard of Milford, Connecticut": "Dotha Cordelia, 27 Dec 1827; m. and has four ch.; two sons; Sarah Maria, 6 March 1830; m. and has six ch.; Truman Howard, 12 Aug., 1833 m. and has six ch.; Martha Ann, 18 March 1836; Cordelia, 18 Feb'y, 1838; m. and has four ch.; Lucy Jane, 30 Jan'y, 1840; d. 2 Feb'y 1841; Frederic, 12 March, 1842; m. and has two ch.; John Henry, 22 Jan'y, 1844 d. 25 May 1864.; Nancy Brett, 20 Sept., 1846; m. and has one ch.; Reuben Warren, 6 Jan'y, 1849."
I have also seen her listed as Dotha Caroline McDonald daughter of James and Lucy A McDonald. Other family records had her birthdate as 4 years earlier in January of 1804, but the death record has all other verifying information correct so I changed it for this record.
Her death record states she was a housekeeper and verifies family history information that her parents were James and Lucy A. McDonald.
The death record received in 1995 lists Baraboo Cemetery, Baraboo, Sauk County, WI as Caroline's burial location. A choice in findagrave says this is Walnut Hill (Baraboo).
