Death of Lyman Frost
Lyman Frost was born in Hampden county, Mass., November 18, 1805 and died at Mirabile, Mo., Aug. 6, 1896, being at the time of his death in his 91st year.
At the age of ten he removed with his father to Tioga county, N.Y. In 1827 he was united in marriage with Hannah Ufford, who remained his comforter and helpmate until she crossed the river in 1884. This union was blessed with ten children, nine of whom are now living, as follows: Asabel V. Frost, of Shiocton, Wis., Hon. Nathaniel Frost, of Jackson, Minn.; Ruel Frost of White Rock, Nev.; Mrs. H.K. Seeley, of Washington; Mrs. N.A. Allen, of Kingston, Mo.; Mrs. Julia Walker, of Covington, Pa.; Mrs. Sarah M. Whittaker, of Thayer, Kansas; Mrs. Ella J. Cudworth, of Elmira, Mo.; Judge L.L. Frost, Mirabile, Mo.
In 1834 he removed to Tioga county, Pennsylvania, where he was honored by his fellow citizens many times with positions of honor and trust. He removed to this county in March, 1868, where he purchased a large farm and resided there until his death.
In February, 1871 he united with the Christian church at Mirabile, Mo., and remained a consistent Christian during life.
The funeral took place from his residence on Friday, Aug. 7, and was conducted by Elder Sumner of Chillicothe, Mo.

GRANDPA LYMAN FROST DEAD
Lyman Frost, who for nearly 30 years has been a resident here, died of old age and general debility at his late home just north of town at noon yesterday; age 92 years.
Deceased leaves six sons and daughters - namely, L.L. Frost, of this place; Ruell, of Montana; Nat of Iowa; Mrs. Cudworth, of Rockford township; Mrs. Hiram Allen, of near Mirabile and Mrs. Whittaker in Kansas."
