Funeral services for Jerry Spinar, 90, Winner, were held May 16 at the United Methodist Church, Winner.

Rev. J. Edwin Coates officiated. Burial was in the Winner Cemetery.

Spinar died May 13 at the Baptist Hospital, Winner.

He was born Dec. 24, 1897, in Omaha, Neb. As a young man he moved with his parents to Tripp County.

On April 14, 1926, he married Emma Urban and they farmed near Colome until retired and moving to Winner in 1971.

Spinar was a member of the United Methodist Church, Masonic Lodge and Order of Eastern Star.

Survivors include his wife, sons, Leo of Brookings, Mel of Sioux Falls, daughters, Mrs. Vern (Irene) Fischer, Rapid City, Anita Calhoon, McLaughlin, 10 grandchildren, four great grandchildren, a sister, Mrs. Otto (Mary) Pochop and a brother, Eddie, Rapid City.

He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, three sisters and one great grandchild.
