** In Loving Memory Raymond **
Raymond will be loved, missed and
remembered forever in the hearts of
all who loved him. Raymond grew up in
Minnesota USA in a large family.
Raymond lived in Minneapolis Minnesota
much of his life. It appears
that Raymond was living in Detroit
Michigan at the time he passed away.
It appears his Spouse Helen and baby
Raymond were living in Detroit when
Raymond passed away unexpectedly.
Raymond was hiking back to Detroit
from Indiana when he became ill.
Raymond was working out of state
on a road crew in Indiana. Raymond
passed away of pneumonia at the
Noblesville Hospital in Indiana.
Raymond is laid to rest with his
Parents and Siblings in Minneapolis
Minnesota USA. Raymond is survived
by many relatives in the USA, including
Minnesota and Norway. Possibly California.

Draft Registration has exact dob.
Unknown if Raymond served during WWI.
He did have a draft card via Mpls MN
as Raymond Arthur Olsen.

Per a Family Tree found in 2014 written
in abt the 1920's in the Olson/Olsen
Family: In a Family Tree amongt
Raymond's Cousin Aless Olsen's
Minnesota USA heirlooms, name Helen
was written near Raymond's name for
Spouse. Raymond was married when
he passed away. Per historical letters
and photos via our Minnesota USA and
Norway Relatives: It appears that
Raymond and Helen Olsen had a
child named Raymond when Raymond Sr.
passed away. Historical family
letter provided via Raymond's late
beloved Sister Ella Olsen Hokanson
years ago to Family and referred
to as Ella's nephew Raymond Olsen
years ago abt 1949) There os a Family
photo of Raymond's Mother Annie
Olsen with her Grandson Raymond
Olsen from abt 1949. There is
another historical family photo
from abt the same era with Raymond's
Mother Annie Olsen with the younger
adult Raymond Olsen, Helen, Joe
and baby Johnny. ( photos in
Raymond's Mother Annie's Memorial)

Raymond Arthur Olsen
passed away at the Hamilton
County Hospital in Noblesville Indiana.
There is a 1929 Noblesville Indiana
newspaper article written about
his death. Written soon after
Raymonds' death. ( name of
paper and exact date ot known)
The article (paraphrased) sited
"Raymond Olsen's Death at Local
Hospital. Raymond Olsen of Mpls.
Contracted cold here while on a
hiking trip to Detroit." The
article describes his working
in Indiana, plans to hike to
Detroit where he considered his home.
"He called Detroit his Home."
The three or so paragraphs site
his catching a cold while hiking
in drizzling rain that developed
into pneumonia. Raymond Olsen of
Minneapolis. There were funeral services
in Indiana before he returned to Minnesota
for burial. It appears Raymond's
Mother and at least on sister were
called to the hospital and were
with him when he passed away.
"Mrs. Olsen and daughter of Minneapolis
were called here several days ago on
account of the sickness of their son,
brother. They were at his bedside when
he passed away. "

(Paraphrased. The article Does not
mention any Spouse or child,
only Mother and Sister here)

This is not Raymond's Obituary. Our
Family likely held services in
Minnesota for him too.
Detroit in the article
may have also been referring to
Detroit Michigan. It appears
possible that Raymond's Son
Raymond may have been born in
Detroit Michigan. His Spouse
Helen and son Raymond may have
been living in Detroit Michigan
in 1929 when he passed away.

Raymond appears to be the Father
of Raymond A. Olsen. Raymond's
Mother Annie Olsen is in a
photo with her Grandson
Raymond Olsen, nephew
of Ella Olsen Hokanson who
passed the photo onto family
in Norway/Minnesota. The
Grandson/ nephew Raymond Olsen's
address was Paradise California
in abt 1949. Raymond Olsen was
was wearing a U.S. WWII
Military Uniform in our Family
photo with Annie Olsen.
( we have two photos)
His last name is Olsen and
he was Ella's nephew, he would
be the son of Raymond or his
brother Merlin. Likely Raymond's son
and not his brother Merlin's son
as he was in a photo with Helen
and Annie too. Annie Olsen's obituary
referred to her as having
only one grandchild. Both
brothers passed away very young.
Raymond was married when he passed
away. It is not known if Merlin was
married. It appears that Raymond
was married to Helen and they
had an infant or young child.
(Raymond Jr) It appear that
Raymond's Widow remarried as a
Widow to Joseph. ( per our historical
Family photo that included Helen
and Joseph, Raymond Olsen and a
baby Johnny from abt 1949. Also
photo from Ella and letter that
Raymond Olsen was Ella's nephew.
Raymond's Son Raymond was born
sometime before 1930 as Raymond
passed away in 1929. The younger
Raymond Olsen lived in California
at least during his WWII U.S.
Military Service and lived
in Paradise California 1949.
Military Branch and Service Dates
not known, but uniform appears to be
WWII. Not known if he kept his same
Olsen name spelling, but his Olsen name
was used on the 1949 photo and letter.

( no info on spouse or child
included in the in the Indiana
Newspaper article, but this was
not an obituary.)
