Washington Brown Satcher was born February 9, 1853, in Clarke County, Mississippi.
He was the son of Lewis Satcher and Emeline Jacobs Satcher.
In 1878 Wahington Brown Satcher married Amy McElwain in Wayne County, Mississippi.
They had eight children, two boys and 6 girls, Louis Melvin born 1880, Adda Katherine born 1884, John Elmon born 1885, (female) born 1889, Alma Alsaide born 1891, (female) born 1892, Mattie Lee born 1894 and (female) born 1896.
Washington Brown Satcher died July 3, 1927 in Greene County, Georgia. He is buried in Greensboro City Cemetery in an unmarked grave next to his daughter, Adda K. Satcher Dial.
