Ann had a life that was well lived.
A moment in time with my dog
Ann would spend hours out in the field doing what she loved, chasing rabbits and small game.
When the day ended, you could see the sparkle in her eye. She knew when tomorrow came that she would be back out in the field.
As Soon as she was unleashed, the fun started as her bark got louder. I knew she was on the scent of a rabbit. And if I stood in one spot, my dog would bring a game right to me. Once I saw the critter she was rewarded and we would go on to next one. Each time Ann would circle the game back to me it was a little bit of a surprise.
Ann, my border collie, Sometime you weren't sure what critter she was bringing to you. One time she brought a groundhog back to me. Another time she brought a mother raccoon back to me. The raccoon wasn't too happy, either was I? So You always had the keep your attention on what critter she was running.
Ann was an excellent hunting dog. Ann had a grace and beauty to her as she held her head high when she walked.
I hold these memories close to my heart.
