Noah Eugene See died at his home in the Bloomfield addition, Peru, on Saturday June 22, 1940 at 12:30 am after a week's illness of complications. He had suffered a cerebral hemorrhage (CVA or aka "stroke") three days prior to death and had been diagnosed with arteriosclerosis one year prior to death.
Mr. See was born in Denver, Indiana on March 20, 1867. He was the son of Louis and Mary See and was 73 years old, three months and two days old at death. He was married in 1890 to Mary Mae Cooper, who survives. He had lived here for the past 30 years and was a member of the Wessaw Baptist Church.
Surviving besides the widow are three sons, Glenn and Robert of Peru and Raymond See of Fort Worth, texas; three daughters, Miss Dora Mildred See of Ft. Wayne, Mrs Esther Townsend, and Mrs. Goldie Correll of Peru; 5 brothers, Jerome and Peter See of Peru, Jess See of Argos, Samford See of Jackson, Michigan, and Pliny See of St. Louis; two sisters, Mrs. Dora Backus and Mrs. Lena Poor, both of Decatur, Illinois and 11 grandchildren.
Funeral services were conducted at the Drake Funeral Home Monday afternoon with Rev George Harris officiating. Burial was at Mount Zion Cemetery located north of Denver.
