Asari-Zarahn
Julie Ann Asari-Zarahn, 50, of Seattle, was born in Lamar on June 7, 1952, (age 17 forever). She passed away peacefully on March 13, 2003, after a brief battle with cancer.
She is survived by her husband, Stuart Zarahn; sons Dustin and Cody Asari; daughters Nicole and Tanisha Asari; parents Robert and Shirley Felter; brother Mike Felter; sister Susan Oberwortmann and husband Mark; six nieces and nephews, aunts, cousins, many, many friends and her stinkin' dawg, Kailua.
She lived in Loveland from 1987 to 1999, when she moved to Seattle.
She devoted her life to healing the souls of people in need. At age 13, she started her volunteer work as a candy striper at the local hospital in Lamar. She continued her generosity throughout her life and gave time at places such as Hospice and Alternatives to Violence. She played a key role in improving many nonprofits for much of her career.
She loved the beach, adventure, reflection, practical jokes, reading, the long way home, mischief, alone time and dancing, because these things are good for the soul. She found fulfillment in spending spiritual time in nature, appreciated the little things and saw people for who they are.
She loved unconditionally and taught many how to love. She was and will continue to be the greatest teacher of life's lessons and will live in our hearts always.
In lieu of flowers, her wishes were for contributions to be made to either the Make-A-Wish Foundation or a homeless shelter of personal preference.
Bleitz Funeral Home in Seattle was in charge of arrangements.
She married Gaylord Asari July 8 1975. They had four children: Nicole, Dustin, Cody, and Tanisha. They were all born in Hawaii.

Plague on the back of her grandmother Aultia Felter's grave. This was to give her mother a place to remember her.
