The body of August Liebel, a native of Ozaukee County who died at Portland, Oregon arrived at thel home of a brother John Liebel, Batavia and funeral services were conducted Thursday at 10 a.m. from the Mater Dalrosa church in Ozaukee County. The Rev. Joseph Loeffler officiated and internment was made in the adjoining cemetery.
The deceased was born in Ozaukee County, the son of John and Mary Liebel on December 12, 1859.
He left for Arllington, Oregon fifty-nine years ago and made his home there untill his recent illness when he was taken to a hospital in Portland. He is survived by four brothers,
Bernard and Lewis of Milwaukee
Theodore of Ortonville, Minn,
and John of Batavia,
and one sister Mrs. Anton Seifert of Round Lake, Wisconsin. The pallbearers who officiated at the service were six nephews of the deceased. John Liebel, Louis Liebel, John Liebel, Leo Liebel, Clarence Seifert and Norman Seifert.
