Ruth Avery Morris was the daughter of Charles Dater Morris and Clara Emma Waldron, whom are buried in the Old Sloatsburg Cemetery.

Ruth was born and spent her childhood years in Sloatsburg, NY. As a young woman, she moved to White Plains, NY where she worked for AT&T until her retirement in 1974. Upon her retirement, she relocated to New City, NY where she was a member of the Dutch Reformed Church.

Ruth was a member of the Genealogical Society of Rockland County and avidly researched her family's history, tracing her lineage back to her 6th great-grandfather, Resolved Waldron, who was a deputy sheriff for Gov. Peter Stuyvesant in the late 1650s.

I've been thinking quite a lot of you, Aunt Ruth. I miss you and wished you could see the progress I've made on the family history that you started. All my love,

Such a peaceful resting place for my Great Aunt Ruth. The scenery surrounding her is quite bucolic.
