Patricia (Mitchell) Layng died on Tuesday, March 17, 2015 in Morningstar Village. Patricia was born in Spring Valley, IL on April 25, 1935. Proceeded (sic) in death by parents and beloved husband, Richard Frank Layng. Survived by sister, Sharon Baker, brother Larry Mitchell, 5 stepchildren, host of nieces and nephews. Per Patricia's wishes, no services will be held. Cremation rites have been accorded. Patricia wll join her husband in a private burial at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, Elwood, IL. Memorials in Patricia's name can be directed to Noah's Ark Animal Sanctuary, 111 N. First St., Rockford, IL. Cremation Society of Illinois assisted the family.
