E.RONALD DAVIS (April 22, 1932-May 9, 2013)
BASCO, Ill.- E. Ronald Davis, 81, of West Plains, MO., formerly of Basco, died Thursday (May 9, 2013) while at Ozarks Medical Center in West Plains.
Mr. Davis was born April 22, 1932, in Quincy, to the late Elmer and Mina Davis. He grew up in the Lima area.
He graduated from Unity High School in Mendon. For many years, Mr. Davis owned and operated Davis Auto Repair in Hamilton. He and his wife later moved to Mountain View, MO., where he farmed. Ronald had many enjoyments in his life such as gardening and caring for his farm and animals; however, his greatest joy came from spending time with his family.
Mr. Davis is survived by his four daughters, Nancy McGuigan of Lebanon, MO., Bonnie Bartlow of Quincy, Diana Smith of Sugar Grove and Brenda Belden of Augusta. He is further survived by his three stepchildren, Paul Scott Speed of Galva, and Toby Speed and Laura Bocanegra, both of California; 14 grand children; and 10 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Sandy Davis.
SERVICED: 11 a.m. Wednesday in the Hunter Funeral Home, Mendon. Burial will be in New Providence Cemetery near Ursa.
VISITATION: 6 to 8 p.m. Monday in the Willow Funeral Home, 106 E. Third St., Willow Springs, MO., and 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday in the Hunter Funeral Home, Mendon.
